PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adopt a semi-smoothing mode and realize an inexpensive shift to higher power factor, and lessen an excessive charging current when a rectifying voltage 10 is closed. SOLUTION: A power supply device is provided with a rectifying power supply 10 for rectifying a voltage of an AC power supply 11. The device is provided with a smoothing circuit 20 at a rear stage of the rectifying power supply 10. The smoothing circuit 20 includes a capacitor 21 for use in smoothing. The device includes a switching element 22 for use in discharging for discharging intermittently the capacitor 21 for use in smoothing. The device includes a switching element 23 for use in charging for charging the capacitor 21 for use in smoothing. The device includes an auxiliary inductor 24 which is arranged in the positions of rear stage of the switching element 22 for use in discharging/ front stage of the switching element 23 for use in charging. The connection mode of the auxiliary inductor 24 is specified in such a manner that the accumulation of electromagnetic energy is conducted by the capacitor 21 for use in smoothing.
