PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strut mounting structure which is simple in structure, and ensures mounting of a strut in a space between a floor and a crosspiece. SOLUTION: The strut mounting structure is constructed in the following manner. The crosspiece 5 constituting part of a building structure is erected above the floor F, and the panel bearing strut 2 is mounted in the space between the floor F and the crosspiece 5 by engaging an upper edge of the strut 2 with the crosspiece 5 and connecting a lower edge of the same to the floor F. In order to mount the strut, a push latch element 23 is arranged in part of a zone between the upper and lower edges of the panel bearing strut 2. The push latch element 23 has a latch plate 23c which is a mobile portion elastically deformed when the panel bearing strut 2 is interposed between the floor F and the crosspiece 5 while storing therein a repulsive force, in a direction that shortens a distance between the edges. Then, the panel bearing strut 2 is interposed between the floor F and the crosspiece 5 while the latch plate 23c is kept in an elastically deformed position. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
