PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit type building which enables the effective utilization of a lot. SOLUTION: This unit type building is equipped with: two reference building units 20 which are arranged so as to be longitudinally adjacent to each other, and which have a plurality of building units 16 having frames which are formed in a rectangular parallelepiped shape by coupling upper and lower ends of columns 41 at four corners to one another by means of ceiling beams 42 and floor beams; two separated building units 30 which are arranged separately from each other at prescribed interval X in a width direction from the units 20; and a coupling beam 50 which is provided in a state of straddling a beam space 21, formed between the mutually adjacent units 20, and a beam space 31, formed between the mutually adjacent units 30, and which makes the units 20 and 30 coupled together.
