PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend life of a horizontal drain branch pipe facility. SOLUTION: In the horizontal drain branch pipe facility 1, drain from living appliances 20 installed in an exclusively possessed area of a dwelling area of a multiple dwelling house is led to a drain vertical pipe 26 installed in a common use area out of the dwelling area of the multiple dwelling house. The upstream end is connected to the living appliances 20, and the downstream end has a horizontal branch drain pipe 10 connected to the vertical drain pipe 26 and a spare horizontal branch drain pipe 12 laid from the neighborhood of the living appliances 20 to the neighborhood of the vertical drain pipe 26. Hence, even when the horizontal branch drain pipe 10 becomes unusable, the horizontal branch drain pipe 10 and the spare horizontal branch drain pipe 12 can be exchanged for each other.
