PURPOSE: A drum brake for a vehicle is provided to regularly maintain spacing between the inner face of a drum and linings although the lining is worn by repeated braking action. CONSTITUTION: A drum brake for a vehicle has a drum rotating together with a wheel; a back plate(20) installed oppositely to the drum; a pair of brake shoes installed to both inner sides of the drum; linings(33a,33b) attached to the brake shoes, to produce braking force through friction with the inner face of the drum; a piston installed between the brake shoes; and wheel cylinders(40) forming a cylinder part to install the piston. An adjusting device(50), to regularly maintain spacing between the linings and the inner face of the drum, is disposed to the outside of the wheel cylinder.
