PURPOSE: An apparatus for checking centering state of electrode rod is provided, which is installed at vacuum vessel of vacuum degassing system to prevent damage of parts such as the electrode and prevent quality deterioration of steel melt by maintaining temperature inside the vacuum vessel to a certain level. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus(1) for checking the centering state of copper piece(20) and electrode(30) installed on short side and long side transfer cars(22,32) installed at both sides of vacuum vessel(10) of vacuum degassing system, the apparatus comprises a connection body(40) inserted thus fixed into connection end(20a) of the copper piece(20); a supporting member(60) which is installed in an opening(42) formed oppositely to the connection end of the connection body(40), to both sides of which centering checking member(62) passing through the body is connected, to the front side of which position adjusting elastic body(64) is connected so that a front end part(30a) of the electrode(30) is inserted into and rested on the supporting member(60); and an electromagnet member(80) in which moving disc(82) installed in front of the position adjusting elastic body(64) is installed in a space(44) inside the connection body(40) so that the moving disc(82) is fixed by electromagnetic force.
