PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling a fuel injection rate of a vehicle is provided to precisely control an air/fuel ratio by improving a measuring method of evaporating gas introduced into a combustion chamber through a purge control valve. CONSTITUTION: Evaporating gas contained in a fuel tank(100) of a vehicle is introduced into a combustion chamber of an engine through a canister(102) and a purge control valve(104). Based on the introduced evaporating gas, a fuel injection rate control apparatus compensate for the effect by introduced evaporating gas in combustion chamber in the amount of feul injected by an injector. The fuel injection rate control apparatus includes an ambient temperature detecting sensor(110), an acceleration sensor(120) and an engine control section(130). The ambient temperature detecting sensor(110) is mounted adjacent to a throttle body(106) so as to detect the ambient temperature. The acceleration sensor(120) detects acceleration of the vehicle and generates a signal corresponding to acceleration of the vehicle.
