PURPOSE: A method for controlling an air conditioner of a diesel engine is provided to temporarily turn off an air conditioner compressor when condition under which a vehicle starts running is satisfied during running of the air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of: a step(S100,S105) determining whether an air conditioner switch is operated during idle state of an engine when the engine is started; a step(S145,S160,S200) executing fuel transient compensation depending on running of a compressor, and outputting compressor actuation control signal if the air conditioner switch is determined to be operated; a step determining a user's operation of the air conditioner switch if the air conditioner compressor works; a step determining whether condition under which a vehicle starts running is satisfied depending on pressure of the compressor and indoor temperature, if the air conditioner switch is turned on; and a step outputting compressor actuation control signal if the condition for the vehicle to start running is satisfied.
