<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for monitoring and regulating the power and energy consumed, in a transport system limiting the peak power and the energy. <P>SOLUTION: The transport system includes a power supply system which is equipped with a power substation connected to an external power supply network, and the power supply substation supplies energy to a tractive substation, which supplies power to a line section having a current pickup means mounted on a car, each vehicle is equipped with a power converter which is supplied with power by the current pickup means and monitors the power supplied to the traction motor of the vehicle, and the method includes a step of measuring instantaneous power and/or energy and a step of transmitting the set point working on the converter mounted on the car to the vehicle so as to temporarily curtail the power and/or the rotational speed of the traction motor, if the power and/or the energy seeks to get over an allotted threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
