PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the detection of coordinates is impossible when an electrode part for reading is out of a reading area even a part of a mouse body is placed in the reading area.
SOLUTION: A mini-mouse 8 consists of a can shaped miniature electrode body formed into the size possible to grasp by fingertips with a conductive material such as aluminum or the like. As this size and shape, for example, a hollow cylinder of 18-20 in diameter and 30 mm in height is adopted and a ground plane 8a has a diameter which is double or more of the interval of electrode lines of a mouse pad. Thus, when touching on the mouse pad, that is to say, when placed in the reading area, because a signal is surely supplied to parallel electrode lines of both X and Y axis of the mouse pad, a keyboard unit recognizes position data and the coordinates are detected.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
|
