<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus constituted so that toner on a recording paper carrying belt is surely removed without hindering the traveling of the recording paper carrying belt and recording paper is easily separated from the recording paper carrying belt after finishing transferring an image. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with the recording paper carrying belt 8 tensioned and laid between a belt driving roller 10 arranged on the downstream side of a photoreceptor drum and a driven roller arranged on the upstream side of the photoreceptor drum, and endlessly rotated in order to carry the recording paper to the photoreceptor while holding it, a transfer roller 9 transferring a toner image on the surface of the photoreceptor drum to the recording paper held on the belt 8 by the application of transfer bias, a belt driving roller bias part for applying bias having a reverse polarity to the transfer bias to the roller 10, and a cleaning roller 22 which is disposed at a position where it is opposed to the roller 10 in a state where it abuts on the belt 8, and grounded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
