<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital projector for projecting a multicolor image. <P>SOLUTION: The digital projector 10 incorporates an enlarging relay lens assembly 28 as a part of an optical modulation assembly 38 for each color component. The effective f/# of incident light to a V-plate assembly or a V- prism assembly 27 functioning as a dichroic combiner used so as to combine the modulated light of each color from each optical modulation assembly 38 so that the multicolor image is formed is increased by the enlarging relay lens assembly 28. In the enlarging relay lens assembly 28, a more inexpensive design is realized by shortening the working distance of a projection lens 32, and also the replacement of the projection lens 32 most suitable to a display surface 40 is facilitated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
