PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dynamically revise the layout of a composite image displayed on each lecture terminal.

SOLUTION: A video composite means 106 of a server apparatus 100 stores an XML file defining the image composite layout of a composite video image distributed to each terminal 200 and each terminal can select the image composite layout of the XML file at an optional time such as during a lecture and before start of a lecture. A video composite means composes video images of lecture participants under the layout set to each terminal according to the definition file to each terminal.
