PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyurethane foam having adequate hardness and having excellent processability, and to provide a method for producing the polyurethane foam. SOLUTION: The method for producing the polyurethane foam comprises reacting and foaming a raw material for the foam. The raw material for the foam comprises a prepolymer containing a prepolymer having an isocyanate at the terminals and obtained by using a polymer polyol or a polyol containing the polymer polyol and polyisocyanate, and water. The proportion of the formulated polymer polyol is preferably≥8 mass% when the total of the polyol used for obtaining the prepolymer is 100 mass%. The polyurethane foam is produced by the method.
