POLYETHER POLYMER, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME AND POLYMERIC SOLID ELECTROLYTE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyether polymer containing little water and crosslinked materials and suitable as a solid electrolyte, and to provide a method for stably producing the polymer. SOLUTION: The polyether polymer is produced by carrying out ring-opening polymerization of an oxirane monomer, terminating the polymerization reaction and removing the solvent. The amount of water in a system contacting with the polymer is controlled to≤0.04 wt.% based on the produced polymer during the termination step of the polymerization reaction and thereafter. The polyether polymer produced by the method has a water content of≤0.04 wt.% and a toluene-insoluble material content of≤5 wt.%. The polyether polymer is suitable as a solid electrolyte.
