The method involves forecasting traffic intensities and distribution in a building. Future passenger traffic events are generated on the basis of the forecasts using at least one parameter and making an allocation decision. The dynamic situation during the call allocation can be considered. Events after the hall call reservation depend on the lift system dynamics, passenger traffic and later group control decisions. The future passenger traffic is unknown, but it is possible to forecast the traffic intensities and distribution in the building according to the measured passenger traffic flow .The future passenger traffic is generated on the basis of statistical forecasts using the Poisson distribution for the arriving passengers (claimed).An Independent claim is included for:an apparatus for processing lift group control decision and allocating calls to lifts in lifts group
