PURPOSE: Provided is an acaricide composition derived from plants. In particular, the acaricide composition contains an extract of Cnidium officinale or butylidenphthalide derived therefrom. CONSTITUTION: An acaricide composition is characterized by containing an extract of Cnidium officinale. It further contains butylidenphthalide of the formula(1) or its derivatives. The composition has acaricidal effect on Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, Dermatophagoides farinae or Tyrophagus putrescentiae.
