PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing machine which prolongs the life of a photoreceptor drum and the life of a squeezing mechanism which squeezes an excess of liquid toner. SOLUTION: A printing machine 15 having a photoreceptor drum 4, an electrifying means, an exposure means, a developing means, an intermediate transfer roller, and a backup roller is provided with a squeeze mechanism 15 which squeezes an excess T1 of liquid toner T on the surface of the photoreceptor drum 4. The squeeze mechanism 15 can be arbitrarily brought into contact with and separated from the photoreceptor drum 4. Because the squeeze mechanism is in contact with the photoreceptor drum only during squeeze processing, the wear and deformation of the squeezing mechanism which result from the constant contact of the squeezing mechanism and the photoreceptor drum can be prevented.
