摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable compression ratio mechanism for an internal- combustion engine capable of preventing a control shaft 5 from rotating in an undesirable motion without enlarging the size of a motor. SOLUTION: The variable compression ratio mechanism of the internal-combustion engine is equipped with a lower link 4 attached rotatably to a crank pin 2 of a crank shaft 18, an upper link 3 to tie the lower link 4 with a piston 1, a control link 6 to tie a control cam 5a on the control shaft 5 with the lower link 4, and the motor to rotate the control shaft 5 when the compression ratio is to be changed. A hydraulic retainer 8 is connected to the control shaft 5 as a load reducing means to reduce the load applied to the motor from the control shaft 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
