PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof balance dispensing with a cover body exclusive to waterproofing, reduced in the number of part items, having a compact constitution, reduced in size and weight, and superior in assembling performance. SOLUTION: This waterproof balance has a synthetic resin lower case 10 surrounded by a vertical wall 12, and forming an upward opening load cell housing chamber 14, a load cell 20 housed in the housing chamber 14, and connecting a weighting pan 40 to an upper part, and a metallic upper case 30 for fitting a lower end peripheral edge part to a peripheral edge part of the lower case 30, and becoming a waterproof cover for covering an upper part of the housing chamber 14. The upper case 30 functions as a simple waterproof cover for restraining intrusion of water into the load cell housing chamber 14. Since the upper case 30 also serves as a waterproof exclusive cover body and an outer case in a conventional structure, the number of part items of a waterproof structure is reduced, the constitution is simplified, the assembling performance is improved, and the waterproof balance is reduced in the size and weight. Particularly, when constituting the upper case 30 of stainless steel, rust resistance, heat resistance, durability, and chemical resistance are improved, and a new texture, high-grade feeling, and clean feeling not available in conventional balance can be obtained.
