PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase in the thickness of a cabinet in a cellular telephone by providing a main information display and an auxiliary information display back-to-back. SOLUTION: In a portable communication apparatus provided with information displays 2, 3 on the front and the back of a cabinet, both displays 2, 3 are received back-to-back in mounting parts 42, 43, having a common reinforcing plate 4 as a bottom plate supported by the cabinet. The size of the auxiliary information display 3 can be made as large as the main information display 2. The thickness of the part, where the information displays 2, 3 are back-to- back can be limited to a thickness obtained, by adding the thickness of the reinforcing plate 4 to the thicknesses of both information displays 2, 3.
