MOTOR CAR DC POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM USING REGENERATIVE 3-LEVEL PWM CONVERTER

PURPOSE: A motor car DC power supply system is provided to regenerate the residual DC power generated during the operation of the motor car to the AC bus, while reducing harmonic, and to allow improved efficiency of control of the regenerated power. CONSTITUTION: A motor car DC power supply system comprises a three-phase AC power serving as a power supply; a transformer serving as a voltage controller; a rectifier for obtaining a DC power from an AC power; a circuit breaker; and a feeder line for supplying a power to a motor car. The rectifier is constituted by a 3-level PWM converter for converting a power in forward and reverse directions. The AC power supplied to the motor car is converted into a DC power.
