<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based yellow ink composition having a hue and clarity suitable for ink jet recording, excellent in light resistance, water resistance and moisture resistance of a recorded material and capable of controlling a degree of discoloration due to an ozone gas. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based ink composition comprises a compound represented by formula (1) (wherein R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>are each independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an alkanoylamino group, an alkoxyalkoxy group, a sulfo group, a carboxy group or an ureido group; m and n are each independently 1 or 2; M<SB>1</SB>is a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal or a cation or an ammonia ion of an organic amine) or its salt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
