<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To periodically measure the density characteristic of a printer in the case of controlling a data value transmitted to the printer and to control toner put amount based on toner amount by which printing is actually performed on a recording medium on the basis of the measurement data. <P>SOLUTION: A controller 20 temporarily holds print data supplied from a host computer 10 in a built-in HD 24, temporarily holds the print data in a PDL buffer 26-2, and develops the PDL data in a frame memory 26-1 so as to generate image data. The built-in HD 24 has an area in which the already printed PDL data and the image data generated by developing the PDL data are temporarily held and an area in which font data is stored. An image output device 30 generates CMYK data in an image processing part 310 based on the image data supplied from the controller 20 and supplies it to an image forming part 320 so as to output the image on the recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
