PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a susceptor by which haze of a quartz case can be observed simply without needing to detach the susceptor. SOLUTION: The susceptor is used when a semiconductor epitaxial layer is formed on a semiconductor single crystal substrate by vapor-phase growth.
