PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents data delivery system and method that reduce the initial investment and communication cost by reducing the burden on a data delivery server of the contents date delivery system. SOLUTION: The contents data delivery system 10 comprising a single or a plurality of receiving terminals 20 connectable to a network, and a data storage server 30 with a connection frame 36 for delivering contents, is characterized in that the data storage server 30 has a command analyzing means 32a, a waiting time analyzing means 32b for analyzing a time for reconnection to the connection frame 36 if the receiving terminal 20 can not immediately receive contents from the connection frame 36, upon the arrival of a contents request command, a command creating means 32c for requesting a reconnection, a transmitting means 32d, and a disconnecting means 32e for disconnecting the receiving terminal 20 and the data storage server 30.
