PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel structure for a rear member provided to a sparse array vibrator. SOLUTION: A plurality of front side contacts 72 are arranged to the front joining end face 58 of a wiring layer 52 at the same pitch as the layout pitch of vibration elements of a vibration element array 56 configuring the sparse array vibrator. A plurality of wave transmission contacts 32 and wave reception contacts 34 are arranged to an FPC joining end face 60 respectively. A lead main body 78 from the front side contact 72 to the transmission contact 32 corresponding to a transmission element 66 is arranged on a first wiring face 74 of the wire layer 52 and the lead main body 78 from the front side contact 72 to the reception contact 34 corresponding to a reception element 68 is arranged on a second wiring face 76. The wire layers 52 are formed for each vibration element array 56, they are layered alternately with an insulation plate to form a second rear member configuring the rear member.
