PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray plane detection system and an X-ray diagnosis system capable of presenting an X-ray image suitable for diagnosis and observa tion even if photographed outside a predicted range of photographic radiation dose, for less burden on an operator nor too much exposure of a patient. SOLUTION: When the electric charges accumulated at a pixel electrode of a pixel 134 is read, a gate drive signal of a TFT133 is firstly controlled by a gate driver 131 to temporarily read the electric charges accumulated at the pixel electrode by one several-th to one hundredth. A gain calculating/setting part 171 in a gain control part 17, using the data which is temporarily read, calculates and sets an optimum amplification gain of an integral amplifier 136. The gate driver 131, following the temporary reading, controls the gate drive signal of the TFT131 to actually read remaining electric charges of the pixel electrode for generating an image.
