PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger convenient to use having small irregularities in right and left temperature distributions and a comfortable space. SOLUTION: This heat exchanger comprises a first inlet tank unit 101, a first outlet tank unit 102, a first refrigerant pipe 104 which is returned upwardly in the middle of downward extension from the first inlet tank unit 101 and connected to the first outlet tank unit 102, a second inlet tank unit symmetric in the vertical direction, a second outlet tank unit, and a second refrigerant pipe. The first tank 101 and the first outlet tank unit 102 are disposed at an upstream side of the second inlet tank unit and the second outlet tank unit in the longitudinal direction, and the first refrigerant pipe 104 and the second refrigerant pipe are juxtaposed in the lateral direction.
