PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling storage capable of controlling defrosting operation according to setting temperature. SOLUTION: The cooling storage 1 is equipped with a hot gas solenoid valve 20 and a drain pan coil 26 constituting a defrosting means defrosting a cooler 14 while cooling inside of the cooling storage by the cooler 14 of the cooling device R. It is provided with a controller 36 as a temperature setting means to set the temperature of inside of the cooling storage, and a controlling device 30 to control the cooling device R so as to maintain the temperature of the inside of the cooling storage to the setting temperature, and control the hot gas solenoid valve 20. The controlling device 30 forbids defrosting of the cooler 14 with the hot gas solenoid valve and the drain pan coil 26 when the setting temperature of the inside of the cooling storage set by the controller 36 is not less than the predetermined reference value.
