<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To localize a sound image corresponding to a plurality of audio signals to a sound field formed by a plurality of speakers. <P>SOLUTION: When a control section 10 receives positional information to generate a sound image at an optional position in a sound field from an input section 12, the control section 10 calculates a parameter to generate a sound image signal for localizing a sound image at a plurality of received sound image positions and outputs the calculated parameter to a sound image signal generating section 14. Then the sound image signal generating section 14 reads a signal with a prescribed length from a plurality of the audio signals and generates a sound image signal for generating a sound image to the sound field on the basis of the acquired parameter. Delay sections 15L, 15R delay a timing to make outputs of the generated sound image signals identical to each other. Mixing sections 18L, 18R composite the sound image signals outputted in the same timing and output the composited signal to speakers 19L, 19R. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
