PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely remove a foreign matter by contact-running an original over the sufficiently wide range of a reading surface by securing the positional accuracy of an approach point A formed by a guide plate arranged on the upstream side without being affected by variation factors such as a part size and a shape in the case of using a reading roller arranged to be opposed to the reading surface as the shading correction means of the reading means fixed and arranged in an original feeding path. SOLUTION: The reading means 25 fixed and arranged at a reading position on a feeding path and to read the image of a passing original and the reading roller 26 arranged to be opposed to the reading surface so as to energize the original to the side of the reading surface 25a of the reading means and being as a reference part for shading correction are provided, and a turnable guide member 60 is provided on the upstream side of the reading means in a feeding direction and a protrusion 60a to energize the guide member to the side of the reading surface of the reading means and being as a spacer to set an interval with the reading surface is provided at the guide member.
