PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce loads of drive system and operators and track a satellite with high reliability even in the case with a signal variation cause by attenuation due to fluctuation of the air or rainfall. SOLUTION: A satellite tracking device 10 is for tracking a satellite 50 including a signal source by using an antenna 40 of a specific beam width. In the satellite tracking device 10, a signal level from the signal source is measured along the arc within the beam width of the antenna 40. A variation rate of the signal level measured along the arc is determined and a position against the arc to make the variation rate of the signal level practically '0' is obtained.
