PURPOSE: A panel detector for a press is provided to reduce the weight and size of the panel detector and to improve productivity by simplifying the structure of the panel detector. CONSTITUTION: A detecting bar(21) is in contact with one surface of a panel(30), and has a forward/backward restoring force by a spring(22). A main body(25) has a sensor(40) for detecting the forward/backward motion of the detecting bar. The detecting bar is movably coupled with both sides of the main body. A plurality of holders(26) are installed at the bottom of the main body. One of the holders is coupled with a boss(17) installed at a panel feeding unit, selectively.
