PURPOSE: An imitation linen finishing method of fabric or knitted goods manufactured out of lyocell is characterized by using a phosphoric acid aqueous solution and a sodium hydroxide aqueous solution, not needing to fibril-finish, originating fibril and pilling little though textile is washed repeatedly, having excellent dyeability and not originating slip because a cross-point of warp and weft is adhered. CONSTITUTION: The imitation linen finishing method of the fabric or the knitted goods containing the lyocell is as follows: dipping and padding the textile into 70-90% of the phosphoric acid aqueous solution at 15-45 deg.C for 1-60 sec., followed by reacting the textile for 10-120 sec.; and then dipping and padding the textile into 10-30 degree Be of the sodium hydroxide aqueous solution at 15-50 deg.C, followed by reacting the textile.
