<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistor having a high resistance change rate for an applied voltage and a ceramic fixed resistor unit. <P>SOLUTION: A conductive material (SnO<SB>2</SB>Sb<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>) and talc, calcium compound, barium compound (e.g. talc CaCO<SB>3</SB>BaCO<SB>3</SB>) as insulating ceramics are mixed into a resistor composition, and then the resistor composition is ground into powder 1 to 7μm in grain diameter, and the resistor composition powder is fired at a firing temperature of 1205 to 1330°C.
