PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic latent image developing toner showing excellent balance in electrification characteristics, fluidity or the like, and to provide a method for forming an image by using the toner. SOLUTION: In the method for forming an image by using a toner for electrostatic latent image development containing externally added particles, toner particles and a toner for latent image development comprising externally added particles, granular titanium oxide having 0.01μm to <0.50μm average particle size and subjected to the surface treatment with a titanate-based compound, and acicular conductive particles having 0.2 to 2.0μm major axial length and 0.01 to 0.1μm minor axial length are externally added to the toner particles.
