PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve display quality and extend a life of an organic EL element by reducing a holding capacitance forming area for holding a video signal supplied to a gate of a driving transistor in an EL display device. SOLUTION: On a source 33s of a TFT 30 serving also as a 1st capacitance electrode layer 55, a 2nd capacitance electrode layer 54 is formed via a gate insulating film 12. The 2nd capacitance electrode layer 54 is the same layer as the gate electrode 31 and formed through the same process. On the 2nd capacitance electrode layer 54, a 3rd capacitance layer 70 is extendedly arranged via an interlayer insulating electrode film 15. The 3rd capacitance electrode layer 70 is formed in the same layer as a drain electrode 36 and a drain signal line 52. The 3rd capacitance layer 70 is connected to the source 33s of the TFT 30.
