PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control valve lead-acid battery retarding corrosion of a joint part and being excellent in life-span performance in a control valve lead-acid battery in which a positive and a negative poles, a positive and a negative straps and the joint part or a connection part between a positive and a negative cells, the positive and negative straps and the joint part are formed in one piece. SOLUTION: In the battery, if the length of the connection part 21 between the negative pole 11 and the negative strap 31 or the length of the connection part between the connection part between the negative cells and the negative strap 31 is set at L1 (mm), and if the length of the negative strap 31 is set at L2 (mm), an expression L1/L2≥0.4 is derived, and if the length of a joint part between the positive pole and the positive strap or the length of a joint part between a connection part between the positive cells and the positive step is set at M1 (mm), and the length of the positive strap is set at M2 (mm), an expression M1/M2≥0.4 is derived.
