PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination light source apparatus for radiating illumination lights with arbitrary color spectrums and light quantity distributions to a subject. SOLUTION: The illumination light source apparatus 1 is used for a close examination apparatus for transmitting the illumination lights radiated to a liquid crystal plate 50 as the subject, detecting the transmitted illumination lights by using a detection part 6 using an imaging element disposed opposite to the liquid crystal plate 50 and closely examining the liquid crystal plate 50. The illumination light source apparatus 1 has a plurality of light sources 2 for radiating the illumination lights, a radiation unit 4 using a plurality of optical fibers 3 for guiding and radiating the illumination lights from the light sources 2 to the liquid crystal plate 50 and having a uniform light transmitting characteristic over an entire wavelength region of the illumination lights, a plurality of color filters 5 respectively disposed between light sources 2 and the optical fibers 3 and a light source adjustment part 10 for respectively adjusting outputs from the light sources 2. The illumination lights with the arbitrary color spectrums and the light quantity distributions over the wavelength region can be radiated to the liquid crystal plate 50 by an output adjustment of the light sources 2 by the light source adjustment part 10 and filter operation of the color filters 5.
