The device comprises a step box with a stand formed by two side pieces. A servo motor is used to raise a plate from a base level to different heights in a continuous manner. The box rests on a foundation allowing the weight of the user to be measured and this foundation includes the possibility of recording any forward movement of the support leg when it leaves the plate at the basic test height. A device can be connected to the box in order to test the users muscle activity during the step height test. The side pieces of the stand are provided with a means of measuring leg length. A rack can be attached to the side piece to act as a lateral support. Balancing aids around the user can be secured to the box. |
