<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the security at data transfer. <P>SOLUTION: A transfer controller 12 on the transmitting side divides data to be transferred into a plurality of pieces, deletes part of the data from each piece to encrypt it, and uploads the encryption result of each piece to a different relay server 22 on the Internet 20. The transfer controller 12 also notifies a receiving transfer controller 12 of information showing which piece is uploaded to which relay server 22, by a secure communication protocol. The deletion data deleted from each piece are sent separately from the encryption result to the transfer controller 12 on the receiving side. The receiving transfer controller 12 downloads the encryption result of each piece uploaded to each relay server 22, decrypts it and adds the deletion data to restore the state before the deletion, and assembles such restored pieces into the original transferred data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
