PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding member which is needed for a low-cost, low-loss connection with an optical module and for a V-groove connection and pitch conversion of a plurality of optical fibers. SOLUTION: This optical fiber holding member 4 holds one-end sides and other-end sides of four optical fibers 3 while extending them from one end part and the other end part and is equipped with an optical fiber groove 11 and a lid component 2 as a holding part which hold the optical fibers 3 at specified intervals and a fiber bending space part having a space where the respective optical fibers 3 freely flex; and it is characterized in that the holding part is formed at one end part and the fiber bending space part is formed so that it connected with the holding part from the other end part, the respective optical fiber 3 extending from one end part while held at the specified intervals and also extending from the other end part without being restrained.
