<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately and efficiently detecting a dark mobile through calculation of the median of a plurality of segmented images by removing the influence of large amount of bright light source images or dark images or a missing pixel which does not return a pixel value. <P>SOLUTION: Images 2-1 to 2-3 of regions matched to the operation of a mobile are segmented from images 1-1 to 1-3 of a plurality of frames imaged at time intervals. The median of the same pixels of all the segmented images 2-1 to 2-3 are calculated to prepare a median image 3-1. The use of the median removes the influence of large amount of bright light sources or dark images being the disturbance of the detection of the mobile, and makes only the mobile remain. In the calculation of the medians, a pixel value indicating a specific value is removed beforehand to reduce the influence of the bright light source or missing pixel. Furthermore, the mean value image of the plurality of median images is prepared to decrease the detection limit grade. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
