<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of determining easily the impervious surface rate without measuring the area, by performing image processing of image data of an aerial photograph. <P>SOLUTION: In this impervious area rate examination method, a region belonging to a fixed color range is extracted from the aerial photograph which is a color image as a pervious region, to thereby determine the impervious area rate. The method comprises an image reading means 10 for reading the aerial photograph of an examination object drainage basin and an equal arrival time area chart, an image splitting means 20 for splitting into image data in each equal arrival time area along the boundary line of the equal arrival time area chart, color extraction means 31, 32 for extracting the region belonging to the fixed color range as the pervious region, an image binarization means 40 for binarizing the image data, and binarizing the extracted image data as the pervious region, an area calculation means 50 for determining the area of the pervious region, an impervious area rate calculation means 60, and tolerance setting means 71, 72 for setting the tolerance of a color range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
