PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supervisory apparatus capable of properly matching an imaging direction of a camera with a direction of a sound source independently of surrounding noise. SOLUTION: The supervisory apparatus is configured to include: a direction calculation means 140 for calculating a direction of a sound source by using an acoustic signal outputted from microphones 101, 102; an imaging control means 150 for matching the imaging direction of the camera 160 with the calculated direction; a variation calculation means 120 for calculating a variation amount of a level of the acoustic signal; and a discrimination means 130 for discriminating whether or not the imaging direction of the camera 160 is to be updated on the basis of the magnitude of the calculated level variation.
