PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent color slurring by restraining the change of the temperature characteristic of an optical device caused by the difference of the blow of air flow generated by the rotation of a light deflector. SOLUTION: A rib for controlling an air flow 94A consecutively guiding the air flow generated by the rotation of the light deflector 62 together with an fθlens 63 as shown by the arrow is provided near the lens 63, and a rib for controlling an air flow 94B consecutively guiding the air flow together with an fθlens 64 as shown by the arrow is provided near the lens 64. The ribs 94A and 94B have shape nearly symmetric with respect to the center of rotation of the light deflector 62. Symbols 52, 53, 54 and 55 show light sources. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
