LAMINATED FILM FOR OPTICAL USE

A laminated film for optical use having a polyester film and, formed on at least one surface thereof, a sliding layer containing spherical particles and having an unevenness of thickness of 0.5 to 7.0 %, wherein fine particles resulting from a catalyst are present in the polyester film, and the amount of fine particle as measured by the dark field microscope method satisfies the following requirements: 200 to 20,000 pieces/mm<2> of fine particles having a particle diameter of 1 to 10 mum, and 10 pieces/mm<2> or less of fine particles having a particle diameter of 10 mum or greater. The laminated film for optical use is excellent in the uniformity, transparency, the easiness in sliding, color tone and the resistance to marring, is reduced in the precipitation of low molecular weight products, and is excellent in the adhesiveness with layers used for various optical applications.
