Device for making visible the external surface of a vehicle, comprising one or more emitters (3) of one or more light rays (6, 6a, 6b, 6m, 6n) fitted over at least part of the external surface of the vehicle (2), characterized in that said one or more light rays (6, 6a, 6b, 6m, 6n) emitted by said one or more emitters (3) consist of laser light, there being envisaged a plurality of receiving bodies (4, 4', 4'') also fitted over at least part of the external surface of the vehicle (2) in positions substantially aligned with each other and with respect to said one or more emitters (3), said receiving bodies (4, 4', 4'') having diffraction means (4a, 4b) able to be illuminated so as to perform the diffraction and the diffusion of the laser light when they are struck by the rays of laser light emitted by said one or more emitters (3).
