Herbicidal compositions containing known 1-methyl 3-(2-benzothiazolyl)urea and 3-cyclohexyl-5, 6-trimethylene uracil opt. together with other diluents and/or surfactants. The compns. have very selective herbicidal activity for use in beets. The combination of (I) and (II) have synergistic effects at certain concentrations. The weight ratio of (I) and (II) may vary from 1 1/2:1 to 9:1 but is preferably 3:1 to 5:1.
